This isn't really complicated. MPJ is shooting 29% from the field and 18% from 3 in the series on almost entirely open looks. He's a 50/42/80 career shooter that for some reason can't make an open look right now. The moment seems a bit too big for him so far. The NBA has sadly become almost entirely about shot variance

The Nuggets went into game 2 not respecting Miami after game 1. Big mistake to ever underestimate your opponent.
How did they not respect the heat? I don’t understand that. The heat played an incredible game and shot 48% from 3. The nuggets had a great game too but the heat made timely buckets.

The Heat made shots and other than Jokic, the Nuggets largely didn't. They were getting good looks even down to the last game tying 3 they just didn't hit it.

Even their coach talked about giving his team a talk after about chilling out because they hadn't won anything. And then Denver comes out tonight relaxed with no urgency like it's preseason. Nuggets won what, 7 playoff games in a row? So now they are 7 out the last 8? It's one game. Heat play as a team and are tough mentally and physically. What that team has accomplished is no mistake but it's a 1-1 series. Neither team is anywhere near in position to close out the Finals. Lotta people getting a little too hype too early. Still a lot of ball left to play. We'll see how Denver responds in Miami.

Unless Bruce Brown is on the floor Denver doesn’t have the foot speed to get over screens and contest shots from, Strus, Vincent, Lowry, and Robinson

Reason Nuggets Lost game 2
1) No plan B: if your main man that supplies your ammo is being neutralized then have a 2nd man who takes on that job (a big man type of point guard just like Joker ) and make the main man (Joker) a sharp shooter/scorer
2) Too many unchallenged 3 pointers: Heat players were shooting 3 pointers at will and completely wide open, Nuggets didn't even try to move closer to challenge those shots
3) Too many missed shots by the Nuggets
4) Not enough pressure under the glass by the Nuggets
Joker was playing ALONE against the Heat, the rest of the Nuggets players were frozen today😢
You can not win a game if your teammates are not involved and not scoring😢.Joker had to carry the game on his shoulders from the 2nd quarter onward, he scored almost half of the Nuggets total points!.Even so it shows Joker's resolve and greatness when the Heat didn't have an easy game vs a 1 man team 😂😂😂😂
I don't include Murray because he was supposed to score in the 2 digits area which he didn't tonight, Joker was the only one scoring and keeping the Heat with a 11 points reach!

The Heat have more depth that's the difference .. they're able to switch defensive assignments .. Murray is gassed and his backup is not a difference maker .. simply put if Jokic doesn't have a high # of assists then the offense becomes stagnant 🤔
So If Heat do some real work in game 3, Nuggets don't climb back within 3, lose by 10-20.
